he Fund for Local Cooperation is an instrument through which the Embassy of Finland in Serbia can allocate funds to local non-governmental and non-political organizations. The objective of the Fund is to support Serbia’s sustainable development in strengthening democracy, good governance, human rights and environment related sectors particularly in relation to Serbia’s EU integration process. The approach is to establish long-term partnerships with implementing organizations.
The priority sectors for support in 2013 include:
Democracy, good governance and strengthening the rule of law
Human rights and minorities
Environment, sustainable use of natural resources incl. clean technologies and renewable energies
The total budget of the Fund for Local Cooperation in 2013 is 200.000 EUR but the amount of support for individual projects is estimated to be around 40 000 Euros. Project duration should be maximum 2 years.
